Crofton Pond Nr Thursby Carlisle

Situated west of Carlisle, take the A595 out of Carlisle. Continue on the A595 after the Thursby roundabout, approximatly 1 mile on take a right to Crofton through the stone arch. Crofton Pond is on the right.

Crofton pond has good stocks of:  Double figure Carp, tench, roach, perch, Bream, rudd, chub and gudgeon.

Opinion!

For me the fishing on Crofton has improved beyond
belief over the past two years. Every aspect of the sport is
catered for here, from specimen carp and tench to good bags
of roach, rudd and perch.

Carlton Hill Fishery

Situated just off the M6 motorway at junction 42. Take A6 towards Penrith, approximately one mile on take the first left signposted COCKLAKES COTEHILL. Proceed along this road for 1/2 mile then take a first right at the cottages. Take the single track road for approx. 200 yds and Carlton Fishery is on the right!

The fishery consists of 4 well stocked ponds, the first pond being the day ticket water consisting of 15 pegs (other 3 member fishing)

Each pond has good stocks of: Carp, tench, roach, ide, perch, Bream, crucian carp, rudd, chub and gudgeon.

Excellent fishing here, well stocked and maintained
and provides an interest for most aspects of fishing.
The shop is well stocked and Chris Wynne (the owner)
provides a warm and friendly welcome!

Brigham Ponds Nr Cockermouth Cumbria

Situated just outside of Cockermouth, take the A595 out of Carlisle. Continue on the A595 to Cockermouth roundabout, take the A66, approximately 1/2 mile on take a right turn signposted Brigham. From here the fishery is well signposted 

Brigham Coarse fishery contains double figure carp.

Opinion!

Don't know too much about this water, fished it many years
ago. on my visit I witnessed skimmer bream being caught and
just missed a 13lb plus carp being returned.

The owner I met on the bank seemed very friendly, there
appeared to be a caravan park beside the pond.
